Dr. Khoo is a Senior Manager with the Survey Services Department of Singapore Land Authority (SLA). Prior to his appointment in SLA, he was involved in various GPS, geospatial related and satellite remote sensing research projects for a period of eight years. He holds appointments as Associate Scientist in the Centre for Remote Imaging, Sensing and Processing (CRISP) in NUS and Research Associate in the Spatial Information Laboratory, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, NTU. He is currently responsible for the strategic planning and policies’ formulation in Singapore’s National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).

Dr. Kadir was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (2000 – June 2009) after which he assumed his current office as the Director General of JUPEM - Malaysia’s Geoportal. Currently the Chairman of the Land Surveyors Board Peninsular Malaysia, he is also a Fellow of the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (FISM) since 1997.

Clint is presently working with the US Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District where he serves as the Spatial Data Branch Chief. He was also employed by the US Geological Survey’s National Wetland Research Center (NWRC) for over 12 years as an Oceanographer/Geospatial Scientist, where he has participated in numerous projects related to wetland/ environmental restoration in south Louisiana. He was also a senior Geographical Information Systems(GIS) and Remote Sensing(RS) specialist and was responsible for initiating and managing a key cooperative technology exchange program between the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District and the NWRC to facilitate USACE’s incorporation of GIS and RS technology for the Corps’s Planning, Programs, and Project Management Division (PPPMD).
Clint Padgett Chief, Spatial Data Branch, Operations Division US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, MOBILE DISTRICT, MOBILE UNITED STATES
Diony started his career as a Second Lieutenant in the Philippine National Police and retired as a Police Director, equivalent to a Major General in the Armed Forces in 2001. Consequently, he assumed leadership of the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority in May 2002. Among his policy directions as the present NAMRIA Administrator are to: (a) continue developing and enhancing NAMRIA’s present capabilities; (b) modernise the mapping and surveying items of equipment of NAMRIA; (c) complete the establishment of a comprehensive database of geographic references. Under his leadership, NAMRIA is actively involved in the completion of the Philippine Reference System of 1992 Project by 2010. He is also a member of various committees such as the Permanent Committee on GIS Infrastructure for Asia and the Pacific, Science and Technology Coordinating Council on Space Technology Applications.
Diony A.Ventura Administrator NATIONAL MAPPING AND RESOURCE INFORMATION AUTHORITY, PHILIPPINES
Chris is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Pacific Disaster Center (PDC), an international leader in Science and Information Technology for disaster management, located in Hawaii. He has been actively involved in the development, integration and application of geospatial information technologies for resource management and disaster management for his entire career, more than 20 years. He has also been responsible for the conceptualisation, development and operation of two of PDC’s “flagship” products and services, the Asia Pacific Natural Hazards and Vulnerabilities Atlas and the Asia Pacific Natural Hazards Information Network. Most recently he was awarded the 2008 Hawaii Geographic Information Coordinating Committee’s (HIGICC) “President’s Award” for his meaningful impact on Hawaii’s geospatial community.

Nitin joined the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in 1997 and is presently posted at its Headquarters, New Delhi as Deputy Commandant. A professional with over 15 years of proven track record of strong, decisive executive leadership, he has extensive background in the fields like border management, human resources, administration, geographical information systems and technical capabilities, security, safety and training, internal security, counter insurgency operations, contingency and disaster management, and communication. Currently he is looking after the prestigious project of BSF- GIS.

Dr. Ratanasermpong was the Director of the Geo- Informatics Center till 2003, before assuming his current position as Deputy Director in GISTDA - Thailand’s national space agency. GISTDA is responsible for all space related activities of the Government of Thailand and is under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Thailand. A specialist in geo informatics (GIS, GPS and RS), Dr. Ratanasermpong has also done extensive work on GIS applications for forest cover and land use mapping.

Dr. Kumar has made an outstanding contribution for the growth and use of geospatial technologies, not just in India but also internationally. He is currently the Head of the Natural Resources Data Management Systems (NRDMS) and CEO of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) of the Department of Science & Technology, India. He was instrumental in the modernisation of military survey and the technology upgrade, capacity building as well as establishing the Defence Institute for Geospatial Information and Training (DIGIT) Army Digital Mapping Centre and the NSDI.

Dr. Kam has more than twenty years of experience in both the geospatial industry as well as the academia. His teaching and research interests are in GIS for Business, location intelligence and spatial optimisation, Internet Mapping and GIS services, geo-business data mining, and Spatial OLAP. Dr. Kam is active in consulting work and has consulted for the United Nations Centre for Regional Development, Asia Development Bank, Japan- Indonesia Forum (JIF), Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Singapore Land Authority (SLA), Land Transport Authority (LTA), Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), National Environmental Agency (NEA), Citibank, Standard Charted Bank and National Healthcare.
